Sony is preparing to announce the new range of Xperia smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 25th during a dedicated event. Will be different devices that will be unveiled by the Japanese house, starting from the top of the range Xperia XZ4 with camera DepthSense 3D ToF (HERE we deepen the discussion explaining how it works) up to mid-high-end models Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra. We have already had the opportunity to appreciate the elongated design (21: 9) in renderings published just a couple of days ago, and today we are able to show you the images (always render) also of the Ultra – or Plus variant, as defined the WinFuture source.
In this case we are talking about a device that should be equipped with a 6.5 “CinemaWide display in a 21: 9 format. It should be because the same source is not able to guarantee the accuracy of the information yet. Confirmed instead is the design of the smartphone, characterized by a front with a frame pronounced at the top (there is not the notch …) and a back that recalls in all respects that already seen on XA3. So we find the double camera centrally positioned horizontally, overhung by the LED flash.
And now … the twist. Did we talk about Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra? Forget everything, these smartphones will never be announced. Or better, not with these names. It seems that Sony has decided to abandon the old name, thus cutting the past and opting for the more “commercial” Xperia 10 and 10 Plus. In practice, just XA series, from Barcelona onwards will have the new Xperia 10 series The news is still confirmed, but more sources report this indiscretion. Of Xperia XZ4 nothing is known yet, but we do not exclude that the surprises can not also concern the next top of the range.
