As widely expected, Canon has officially announced its new EOS RP, a mirrorless full-frame characterized by a more compact size, low weight and a much lower price than the EOS R.
The Canon EOS RP has a 26.2 Megapixel full-frame sensor with DIGIC 8, the same processor as the EOS R, Dual Pixel focusing with 4779 available dots, phase difference detection system and a horizontal coverage of 88% and 100% vertical.
The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 40,000 in increments of 1/3 complete stops or stops and can be extended up to L: 50, H1: 51200 and H2: 102400. The shutter has a vertical slide on the electronically controlled focal plane and is able to shoot at a speed of 30 to 1/4000 of a second in 1/2 or 1/3 stop increments. The white balance is automatic with image sensor with +/- 3 levels bracketing in single increments.
The Canon EOS RP has a 0.39 “EVF color OLED viewfinder with approximately 2.36 million dots, a horizontal / vertical coverage of about 100% and magnifications of around 0.70%. including the exposure level, the number of multiple exposures remaining, the AF method used, the battery level, the shutter speed, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Histogram.
The electronic viewfinder is also supplemented with a 7.5 cm (3.0 “) adjustable Clear View LCD II capacitance display of about 1.04 million dots, the flash is an E-TTL II with manual measurement.
