BenQ has announced the launch of its new EW2770QZ monitor, with a 27-inch AHVA panel with QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution that features exclusive Brightness Intelligence Plus (BI +) technology, which incorporates an ambient light sensor to adjust Intelligent both the brightness and color temperature of the screen to provide the best viewing experience.
The BenQ EW2770QZ equips, as we said before, a 27-inch AHVA (Advanced Hyper Viewing Angle) IPS-type panel that is manufactured by AU Optronics. It has 1440p resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz, with 5ms GtG response time, 178 degree viewing angles, 350 cd / m2 maximum brightness and a contrast ratio of 1000 to 1. As video inputs We found two HDMI 1.4 and a DisplayPort 1.2.
To finish with the technical characteristics, it is possible to mention that the monitor counts on Flicker Free and Low Blue Light anti-blinking technology, it shows images with 100% of the sRGB color spectrum (16.7 million colors) and with real depth of 8 bits.
Brightness Intelligence Plus technology
It is not the same to use a monitor with the warm light of the home, with the aggressive white light of an office or when the sun is giving to the screen. The EW2770QZ is the world’s first monitor to incorporate BI + technology. Thanks to its special sensor, it is able to capture ambient light and ambient colors around the monitor, changing – thanks to proprietary algorithms – in real time the brightness and color temperature of the screen to provide an excellent viewing experience At the same time as reducing the user’s eye fatigue.
Being able to simultaneously detect the intensity of the content displayed on the screen and the ambient light, the EW2770QZ automatically adjusts bright scenes to avoid overexposure, while dark scenes preserve the intense black colors, showing better details and clarity . Even with the manually dimmed brightness, BI + technology is able to intensify colors and saturation to maintain good color accuracy with a very smooth color gradation.
BenQ has not announced the date of availability or the price of this monitor, so we will have to wait for the last details. However, given the resolution and exclusivity of the technology we can expect it to be relatively expensive.
